Adult Virtual Sunday School

Virtual-Sunday-School-7_2021

We have made some adjustments to make our entire Sunday School experience more streamlined!!! Therefore, we will have only one Zoom number assigned to our Sunday School Department and several breakout rooms for you to choose from upon entering our main Zoom room. In order for this process to work as efficiently as possible, we will start check-in at 8:30 am every Sunday and classes will still start promptly at 8:45 am. During the check-in process, you will give the Superintendent, Sister JoAnna Zackery, your desired class of the day.

If you have a registered ZOOM account, you are eligible to be pre-assigned to your Sunday School class of choice. Please CLICK HERE to complete this short form. Again, this option is only available to registered Zoom users, meaning you use an email address to log into your Zoom sessions.

***You only have to fill this form out once for the current quarter.***
We will notify you when the pre-assignments will actually start.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact the church at (404) 289-3751. We are here to assist you.

Overview: The New Members will be instructed in two major areas: how one must live after experiencing the new birth and how Bethesda Cathedral operates for those who are transferring from other churches. Haven of Strength – Dr. Stephanie May

Overview: Haven of Strength was created in 2015 by Bishop Stewart and the Late Lady Navoria I. Reese. The class was initially taught exclusively by Lady Reese on-site at Bethesda Cathedral. From the beginning, it became clear that the course would be enhanced by providing opportunities for the class to study and present quarterly topics that would benefit both the teacher and the students. For over two years, the course met in Lady Reese’s office. Beginning in 2020, the class met virtually using the platform our Superintendent, Sis Zackery, provided. Each week, speakers offer a lesson designed to lift the fallen, strengthen the weak, comfort the feeble-minded, and restore the wounded hearts.
Our Purposes:
-To Lift the fallen
-To Strengthen the weak
-To Comfort the feeble-minded
-Learn to Stand still in the midst of a battle (storm)
-Strive for Excellence in every aspect of our lives
-Restore the wounded heart

Bible Survey – Elder Edward Jackson

Prayer Essentials – Elder John and Evangelist Lometia Pitts

Overview: There is incredible power and potential in prayer. Through prayer, we invite the God into a situation and into our lives. Prayer changes things, but even more prayer changes us. Through prayer, we have the opportunity to reach our full potential in Christ. The disciples said to
Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray.” As we grow in our prayer life, we become more alive and more engaged with what God is doing. None of us are perfect at prayer, but as we take steps to grow spiritually in our
prayer life, the impact is incredible. God will move mountains and God will transform us into people of love, joy, and peace through prayer. This class will help you strengthen your prayer life.

Truth Seekers – Elder Allen Powlis

Overview: A truth-seeker asks questions and wants to understand the scriptures. If you are a truth- seeker and you have a deep seated desire to dig deep into God’s word this is the class for you to learn about the New and Old Testament.
